Personal Thursday #4

4:12 PM

Hello.

Let's talk about the weather. It's nice. Let's talk about what the nice weather brings. Allergies. Let's talk about who gets allergies. Not me. But not this year. They hit me like a train this year. I've got itchy eyes, a stuffed nose, my ears have been popping non stop, my throat is just coated with mucus (sorry for that image), and my lips are dry as the Sahara. I feel terrible, and I have for about two weeks now. It sucks. Lip balm and movies have been my savior lately.

But aside from that, it has been really nice out. The weather's been nice, it's sunny and warm, and spring has finally come. Don't get me wrong, I see a lot of the sun over here. But the weather's been insane for the past few months. We all know this. Hurricane Sandy is a prime example, if you live in the East Coast.

I've taken advantage of the flowers (although they kill me from the pollen) and have gotten very close and friendly with a few. These are the raw jpegs, no editing done.

We're thinking about going on a cruise this summer, but my parents always feel the need to include my brother for whatever reason. He refuses to go on a cruise. I think he's afraid of boats.

I've been having some trouble sleeping. I've always had mild insomnia, which means you can't sleep. It's been getting worse and worse. And what I do in the middle of the night? Go on tumblr. I can't even bring myself to be productive by doing homework or photoshopping some stuff. What am I doing with my life?

Both my cameras are on the table right now and I'm starting to wish I had another because they look so cool lying there, I want to take a picture of them. I can't though, one is film and the film inside is for a project, and the other, obviously, would be crucial to the picture. I don't use my little digital cameras anymore for photography, they just don't cut it.

So... my neighbors have these small kids. I'm not a fan of kids. Whenever someone shows me a picture of a kid I do the whole "awwwww he/she's so cuuuuute" thing but I do not like children. They're loud and have no boundaries. I know they don't know any better, but I was never rude or loud as a kid and I can't see why they can't either. Hate on me all you want but that's not the point of the story. So my neighbors have kids, which is yeah fine whatever kids, but they play all day and night in the culdesac. I live on a dead end, so cars only come from one way and usually they don't even come onto my block unless they live here, so they're always in the street screaming and yelling and laughing and distracting me from working on homework (I like to keep the windows open) and sometimes they keep me up at night. I know, it's sad that I go to bed earlier than little kids, but once again, insomnia.

Who lives in the New York/Jersey area? You should definitly go to AIDs Walk on May 19th! You'll support the LGBT community and also raise money for HIV research, which is always a good cause. There are some really cool people there and also it's just nice to say that you walked 8 miles to benefit HIV. Last year it was hot as hell, it was my first year going and it was about 90 degrees that day. Imagine that, 90 degrees out in the sun all day with hundreds of thousands of people walking, all crushed together in a tight crowd. Annnnnyways, come to AIDs Walk! It's a good experience and a lot of fun.

Damn, I just made like 4 dents in my new lip balm with my nail... I hate it when that happens, the undisturbed surface is the lip balm is suddenly showered with dents.

I had a crapload of tests and quizzes this week. I was unprepared. Didn't study. I think I'm going to make a post on how to stop procrastinating and concentrate on studying. Trust me, I am the worst at this but I do have methods that work.

So speaking of tests, you can probably guess that that comes with stress. I've been freaking out all week. My chest is tight and I'm so tired all the time. Not good for my mental health, and my skin is beginning to suffer too. It's looking dull and tired, and the circles underneath my eyes are very very pronounced. Overall, it's been a pretty crappy week. At least I have TV to look forward to, right?

S'not much to keep me going though... I've had a bad couple of weeks and I'm ready for it to be summer. If you're a student, then you know exactly what I mean. School is just dragging by and I can't stand it.

So one of my favorite bands is Maroon 5, and they're currently on tour, coming to my area in August. I was so crushed, that concert was completely sold out.

Anyways, it's been pretty crap. Crap, crap crap.

Thanks for reading this pretty crap post... I''ll see you tomorrow.

Personal Thursday #3

4:43 PM

I'm sitting around wiggling my eyebrows... Man, what am I doing with my life.

Welcome to personal Thursday #3. Today I have a bunch of television to watch. Well, not so much. Just Community, Parks and Rec, and Hannibal. But I do have to catch up on a few shows.

If you watch a lot of tv, you should definitely check out Episode Calendar. Basically, it's this handy-dandy calender that keeps track of your shows. You check the little box when you're done watching the episode, and it just helps you remember what show is on when and what episode you're on.

Isn't it so handy? Go make an account!

P.S... I have no clue what that huge Apt 23 day is. I thought the show got canceled.

Speaking of tv, who loves stickers? Me. I also love stickers of my favorite tv shows, which GetGlue lets me get for free! Whenever the show's on air, you simply check in and you unlock a sticker of the show. After a certain number of stickers, you can order them and they're shipped to your house, all for free!

As we're on the topic of entertainment, we might as well address movies. Let's talk about the elephant in the room... or the two in the room. Iron Man 3. The Great Gatsby. Life complete. I've had the Iron Man poster as my iPad background for the past, like, month. And The Great Gatsby? Leonardo DiCaprio. 'Nuff said.

In case you want to get to know me a little better, here is a list of my favorite movies for reference.

  • (500) Days of Summer
  • Harry Potter (every movie)
  • Baby Mama
  • Iron Man 1, 2, and soon to be 3
  • Life of Pi
Let's talk about music. Specifically a song called The Scientist by Coldplay. I freaking love this song. It's been one of my favorites for a long time, but I really really love it right now. I do this, I go through fazes of loving certain songs. Right now my favorites are The Scientist, Mirrors, Ill With Want, and Ships In The Night. You should totally listen to them all below.

All wonderful songs by quality artists.

Thanks for reading! I'll see you all tomorrow.

Personal Thursday!

3:33 PM

Hey there, time for my weekly personal post.

Let's talk about Hannibal. Shall we? We shall. It's a new show, started about three weeks ago on NBC and it's fucking amazing. There's an episode on at 10 PM Eastern Time, so you can still catch up if you watch nonstop!

Isn't he cute? He's addorrrrraaaaable.

So the show's about an FBI agent that basically can empathize with anybody, meaning he can put himself in anybody's shoes. It's mainly focused on the psychological aspect of murder, dark places, and nightmares. The very talented cast includes Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen. You should definitely check it out.

Another new show that I've been really loving is Orphan Black.

The very talented Tatiana Maslany plays several characters who were basically orphan clones, copies of each other. It's intense. Such a good show.

If you haven't noticed already, I'm a huge fan of television. I love it. It gives me a nice refreshing break from my life but still keeps my mind entertained. Some may argue that TV is mindless brainwashing, but it really depends on what you do. That's basically the rule of life. Some can argue that gay marriage is wrong, other can argue that it's right. Some can say that makeup hides that natural beauty of women, some can say it enhances it.

My mom's going away for three weeks next Tuesday, and we're going to be so lost without her. Don't get me wrong, my father's an intelligent guy, but he works 14 hours a day and when he gets back he just wants to sit around and watch TV. My brother and I are smart as well, but we're really too lazy to do anything, ever.

I don't have much to talk about because lately my life's just been homework and television, so that'll be all for today! Thanks for reading.

Personal Thursday!

4:12 PM

I decided that I'm going to do one personal post per week, and in this case, it's going to be every Thursday. Why? It's NBC Thursday and usually I try to finish my work at school so I can just relax Thursday evenings.

I'm trying to use up all my products that were tested on animals. It's such a waste to just toss them all, and they're all half-used so I can't give them away. So basically, I'm wearing makeup near every day now. I usually only wear makeup a couple times a month, less than 5. I just find it a hassle to take it off, and I'm not unsatisfied with my natural beauty either.

Daily makeup routine - make a triangle with Garnier's Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller from my eye to the top of my nostril. Blend out with a beauty blender. Then put Maybelline Color Tattoo in Inked in Pink all over my lid with my pinky. Blend out with my ring. Then coat lashes with Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes.

Animal testing is inhumane and wrong. It needs to be stopped and companies that test on animals should be boycotted until they do stop.

I need to make a run to Target. Gotta get some tinted moiturizer/foundation/dry shampoo/alcohol-free toner/mascara/cleanser/eyelid primer/smudging brush/wedge foundation sponges. As you can tell, I have a lot of stuff to get. Oh! I also need a new filter for my water Bobble.

If you don't know what a Bobble is, it looks like this.

It's basically a refillable water bottle that filters your water as you drink it. They're really cute and handy.

Anyways, it's NBC Thursday! Every Thursday, religiously, I do the dishes at 7:30, turn on my TV at 7:50, get my iPad out to check in on GetGlue (free stickers for check-ins), and wait for Community to be on, then Parks later. It used to be 30 Rock first, but then it... ended... sobsobsobsobsob. Anyways, the Christmas episode of Community's on tonight. Not sure if Parks is, but I'll stay tuned until then anyways.

Community is doing okay with Dan Harmon. It's not the same, but it's still really good. Parks and Rec has only gotten better. You should definitely watch those shows if you don't already.

I have an itch to go on an adventure. I'm making an effort to document more of my life through pictures, because I don't want to forget my teenage years.

I just realized I've seen Forrest Gump. I've spent ALL of my days thinking I never saw it. I just saw this familiar looking gifset and Googled it to see what movie it was, and it was Forrest Gump. I guess I just never knew the name of the movie until now.

It was a good movie. I should watch it again. Yeah, I'll watch it the next time I go to my bf's house. I don't even buy movies anymore, I just go to his house and watch them. He's got basically every movie to ever exist.

Apple products are so pretty. Just looking at them is like a sigh of happiness. They're sleek and sexy, also fast and simple. However, you look at the price tag and die. My iPad's been a bitch to me lately. It closes out of my apps, sometimes freezes when I turn it on, and won't save gifs. Eh, whatever.

Can we talk about something? Let's just talk about it. Iron. Man. 3. I am way too excited.

I've got a huge crush on RDJ and Tony Stark and Iron Man and Tony x Pepper and oaeijgoaegjoeaijgoaiegjoacmkjfbgsuyewioate dies

The last movie I was this excited for was Admission, starring the beautiful and amazing and intelligent and funny Tina Fey.

I never would have paired her and Paul Rudd together, but hey, it worked. It was a good movie, less of a comedy then you'd imagine, but good nonetheless.

You ever have those days where you just daydream about your bed? I had one of 'em today. I'm gonna go take my makeup off and take a nap. Thanks for reading yo.
