Mini Haul! Some more retail therapy~

2:40 PM

I don't know why I keep shopping, I really don't. I don't even need more stuff. But anyways, I dropped some cash shopping today and I really like reading haul posts, so I figured I'd post some of my stuff!

I've had my eye on this dry shampoo for a while now, the Dove Refresh+Care Dry Shampoo. It smells very very nice and is colorless! I also got some eyeshadows, the new Almay Softies in Smoke and Creme Brulee, and a Sonia Kashuk Eyeshadow Duo in 20 Diamond Life. I've picked up a NYX Eyeshadow Base in the nude skintone, the Burt's Bees Hydrating Lip Balm, and two Real Techniques Shader brushes.

I also got two pairs of shoes, which I'll be blogging about later this week!

Retail Therapy - A Haul

1:30 PM

I've been feeling a little down from all the test taking I've had to do over the past week, so naturally I cheered myself up with some beauty products. I popped into the drugstore and got my greedy little paws on a few things that I thought I'd share with you. First, I picked up a new cleanser, because I'm almost out of my current one. Yes To Carrots has a new fragrance free line out, so I thought I would try out this new Daily Cream Facial Cleanser. I also picked up a few eye bits and bobs, including the NYX HD Eyeshadow Base, the Pixi Natural Brow Duo (am sorely disappointed by this), the No7 Lash Adapt Mascara, and the Pixi Lash Line Ink. I also got a few Sonia Kashuk products (as always), the Velvety Matte Lip Crayon in Blossomy Nude, and the Brightening Powder. I also snatched up a matte top coat, the Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat.

Thanks for reading! Have you bought anything lately?

Collective Haul! Mostly clothes ~

5:07 PM

Happy New Year! I can't believe 2013 is finally over. I hope you had a safe and happy holiday season. Today, I'm doing a collective haul. I was supposed to be in Michigan this week, but something came up and my trip had to be canceled. Oh well, there will be other times. Anyways, these are items that I have bought over the span of December, or received as Christmas presents. My family doesn't really celebrate Christmas, we're all too lazy to get presents for one another and my friends and I did a Secret Santa, so I didn't really get  many Christmas presents, but it's not a big deal! I'm still grateful for my friendships.

Let's start off with skincare samples! If you fill out this questionaire from Mario Badescu, they'll give you a list of some recommended products and then email you a few days later asking if you would like samples. Granted, these samples are tiny (note the hair tie for size reference) but they're generously filled and I haven't run out of any yet. The samples come with some booklets about the company and the products you received, they're even initialed by the president. It's really wonderful.

Next we have some beauty products. I've got the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush here, an impulse buy from earlier this month. I quite like the brush, but I've got to admit that it's so much smaller than I imagined. Another brush (or brush set, I should say) is the Ecotools Essential Eye Set. These are very nice. They're fluffy and soft, and I love the small size. Not to mention that with this set, you're pretty much set with eye brushes. I've got two products from The Face Shop here. In case you didn't know, The Face Shop is a Korean beauty brand. They're a little tough to find in America but there are stores and retailers. My friend got me a perfume (Soul Promise Ring) and a blush (Coral Cushion Blusher) from Fort Lee. They're both really lovely. Finally, I've got a concealer, the NYX HD Photogenic Concealer in Medium. I got this off Amazon from a great seller with quick shipping and I'm in love. It reflects light like a dream, casting away any dark marks or circles.

I don't know how to photograph clothes. Don't hate me ^^"

Boxing Day isn't very well known in America, but a lot of stores like to drop their prices around Christmastime. I went shopping on Christmas Eve AND the equivalent of Boxing Day and I got quite a few items for very cheap.

So I went to H&M, which was having this ridiculously cheap sale... Items up to 65% off and buy two get one free? How could I ignore that? I got quite a few basics from there. I got a plain white v-neck and a black tank top with silver buttons. Both very simple and basic, and plus they're made of organic cotton! The red shirt is from RedBubble, it's a Supernatural shirt from my buddy for Christmas. Hehe.

More H&M! These are two high-low jersey tops with small breast pockets. They're the same shirt, just in a different color. I really like these high low shirts that cover my butt so I can wear leggings and not have to wear a thong. TMI? Maybe. But they're genius.

Another plain white t-shirt, this one loose and flowy. The one on the right I purchased at TJ Maxx. I can't find the brand anywhere, but the tags read Workshop. It's another high low, btw. Emily is happy.

Cardigans and sweaters, my favorite types of clothes. The one on the far left, hidden behind the other two is a plain gray crewneck from Old Navy (the plaid is my shirt, lol). It was discounted from $17 dollars to $4! The red one in the middle is a simple open cardigan from F21, super soft and was very cheap. There are even pockets. I love me some pockets. The cardigan on the right is also very basic; a v-neck buttoned one that is plain black.

Finally, I got some pants. These gray jean/pant things are super cute, with panels by the knees. There's also a pair of plain black fleece-lined leggings which I LOVE. Perfect for winter wear.

Thanks for reading! What'd you get this holiday season?

Shopping~

6:58 PM

Hey, guys! I wanted to apologize for my absence lately. I've had a lot going on, and I've been meaning to blog, but it just isn't happening. Anyways, I'm back today with a haul post. I went shopping today and picked up a few things, so I thought I'd show you!

I really only went to three stores - however, one of them was TJ Maxx, aka the death of me.

I picked up an Alba Botanica Very Emollient Suncreen SPF 45 in Pure Lavender. I've been meaning to get a natural sunscreen and I snatched this up when I saw it. I also got two H2O+ products, the Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment and the Marine Toner (a travel size). I also got the Giovanni Purifying Facial Mask and the Earth Theraputics Hydrogel Under Eye Patch. Of course, no haul is complete without a lip balm or two, two in this case - one is the eos lip balm in medicated tangerine, and the other is the Alba Botanica Hawaiin Lip Balm.

I also got some hair products - very strange for me, usually all I do to my hair is wash and condition it. I picked up the Rusk Sensories Calm Shampoo and Conditioner, in a travel size. I also got the Psssssst Dry Shampoo, which I've been meaning to try for a while. I thought the Sebastian Shaper Zero G Featherweight Dry Finish Hairspray was another dry shampoo, so I got it. I'll probably give this away. And last, not a hair product, I picked up a deo, the Zatik Herbal Refresh Deodorant.

Lastly, I got a few cosmetic bits and bobs. Essie's Chinchilly made it into my cart after one glance. I also got three brushes, two from the e.l.f. studio brush line (the Small Smudge Brush and the Small Stipple Brush). I got a foundation brush from I on Beauty, and two perfumes - Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck and Lady Gaga's Fame.

That concludes my haul! Thanks for reading. Have you been shopping recently?

I've been shopping!

12:30 PM

I'm new to this whole "beauty blogging" stuff, so cut me some slack. I realize the pictures aren't the clearest, I was in a hurry when I took both of them.

I've been shopping recently. I thought I'd share with you guys what I bought.

  • Nivea Soft
  • Nivea Creme
  • Three Nivea Lip Butters (Raspberry Rose Kiss, Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss, and Caramel Cream Kiss). All three smell amaaaaaazing.
  • Burt's Bees Nourishing Mango Butter Lip Balm. Smells heavenly, and I love mangos too.
  • Boots Botanics Mineral Eye Color eyeshadow quad in 030 Golden Brown
  • Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Metal eyeshadow in 55 Inked in Pink. Tested on animals. Shudders. Will probably give this away but it was on sale.
  • NYX Round Lipstick in 538 Heredes
  • NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in LG180 Tea Rose
  • Burt's Bees 100% Natural Lip Gloss in 251 Evening Glow
  • Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm in No.7 Rosy Red. I like this a lot!
  • Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Rhubarb
  • Boots Botanics Tinted Lip Balm in 040 Sheer Pomegrante
  • Burt's Bees Herbal Blemish Stick. Smells funky. You've been warned.
  • Boot's Extracts Almond Lip Balm
  • Neutrogena Alcohal-Free Toner. This was a repurchase, also tested on animals.
  • Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Eau de Parfume Rollerball. Natural and lovely, however does not last long at all.
Lastly, on my way home from Washington DC, I stopped at an outlet and discovered a Bath and Body Works Outlet. Omfg. The best store to ever exist has an outlet. I didn't get much though, just a candle, a wallflower, and a perfume.

  • Slatkin & Co. 3 Wick Candle in Coconut Water - normally $19.50, I got it for... ready? $7.99. I'm not a big candle person. Think I'll give this away.
  • Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Wallflower in Sleep, the Lavender Vanilla one. Purchased at $2.99.
  • Bath & Body Works Eau de Toilette in Paris Amour. Purchased for $7.99. Normally $29.50.

Alright all, that's it. Thanks for reading^^
Have a good one~
